2k19 is a book design project that catalogs and describes interactive installations made by students and placed in the Pratt institute library. In addition to designing the pages of the book I designed the cover and binding of the book as well. 

 

The book features a map, an exposition, cover, and individual descriptions for each student’s work. The catalog of work was then put on display and the design of the book was tested by visitors to the library who would have to use the book’s map to navigate and find all of the installations hidden around the library. 

 

I chose to bind the book so that the pages unfold to form a circle. I did this because I wanted to represent the proximity to the center of the library as my focus. This is essentially the starting point for visitors and leads them through the library exhibit.
